Three Mile Brewing Co.
Downtown brews and true craft styles.
Can I work from here? In a pinch. The taproom and patio are mellow enough for a laptop off-peak, but it's a brewery first.
Bring kids? In a pinch — fine on the patio early on, but it's a taproom, not a family spot.
Under $20? Doable. Small-batch pours, and pitchers on Wednesdays if you've got a crowd.
Three Mile is a downtown brewery right off G Street pouring distinctive, small-batch craft beer (a 3.5-barrel system lets the team experiment with seasonal styles and fresh local ingredients).
Founded by seven friends set on giving Davis variety in its glass, it's a laid-back taproom with indoor seating and an open patio.
The name is a nod to Davis history: until 1979 a temperance law meant you had to go three miles past town to buy booze, and the brewery is a tribute to that. There's no kitchen — but Woodstock's will deliver pizza right to the taproom, and Wednesdays are pitcher days.
