Can I work from here? In a pinch. It's spacious with plenty of seating and TVs, so a casual laptop session works off-peak — but it's built for eating, not working.
Bring kids? Works well — family-friendly, roomy, and there's a kid-approved breadstick following.
Under $20? Student-easy. A personal pie or a couple of slices is a cheap, filling meal.
Steve's is one of Davis's oldest pizza restaurants — the original location of what's now a small franchise. The room is spacious with plenty of seating, which makes it ideal for groups.
Beyond the pizza there's a salad bar (increasingly rare in Davis), a solid draft-beer list, and TVs for the game — a warm, longtime neighborhood spot.
This is the original Steve's — one of Davis's oldest pizzerias, going since 1978, and home to one of just two salad bars left in town. The signature order is "The Steve."
